Effect of Sequence of Impregnation on the Structure and Catalytic Properties of Cu-Co-Al-Oxide System

Twelve samples of Co-Cu/Al2O3 were prepared by impregnating Al2O3 with cobalt salt followed by copper salt or vice versa. The composition of the prepared samples varied in the molar ratios 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 with respect to CuO:CoO or CoO:CuO, while Al2O3 content was kept at about 13-15 mol. The prepared solids were calcined at different temperatures and the products were characterized by means of XRD-analysis. The catalytic activity of the calcined solids was tested in H2O2 decomposition. The XRD-analysis revealed that the sequence of impregnation affects much the structure of the samples. The loading of alumina with cobalt followed by copper salts produced sample with structure differs from that for sample firstly treated with copper followed by cobalt salts. XRD- analysis showed the formation of crystalline spinel Co1-x Cux Al2O4 with nearly the same crystal structure as CoAl2O4 even with high copper content. The examination of catalytic activity of these samples showed that catalysts with Co-loaded over Cu were more active than catalysts with Cu loaded over Co. In all cases the double oxides loaded over Al2O3 were more active than the single oxide over Al2O3.

Two Alternative Routes to MS2 Nanotubes

Inorganic tubular nanostructure MS2 (M=Mo, W, Nb, Ta) were synthesized by two alternative routes. Thermal decomposition method was used for producing fullerence-like MS2 (M=Mo, W) nanotubes on Al2O3 template using ammonium sulfur respectively; NbS2, and TaS2 nanotubes were obtained successfully by reducing corresponding metal trisulfide in a stream of H2 (mixed with N2 in some cases) at elevated temperatures. Detailed experimental procedure, and the characterization of associated results, were evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The result reveals that products are composed of high density of MS2 tubular nanostructures with the diameter of 100 nm and length of tens of micrometers. And no mistake, these 1-D (one-dimensional) tubular nanomaterials added quantities and varieties in the growing family of nanotubes of inorganic layered materials.

酚醛树脂热解高斯分峰法

为了准确描述酚醛树脂热解时相互重叠的反应过程,进行了5种线性升温速率下的酚醛树脂热分析试验,提出一种高斯分峰方法.该方法通过分析酚醛树脂的微分热重(DTG)曲线以及不同温度下热分解产物的种类和含量,将酚醛树脂热解划分为四个反应过程.分峰结果与试验结果吻合较好,对后续准确求解酚醛树脂各个反应过程热分解动力学参数有重要意义.

Determination of Thermal Decomposition Kinetics Parameters of Waste Plastics by Means of Thermogravimetry

The thermal decomposition kinetics of waste plastics through thermogravimetry with temperature programmed heating in Ar atmosphere was reported. Based on the experimental results, the kinetics parameters of some waste plastics were calculated. The results show that apparent active energies of selecting plastics are between 100.72~225.89 kJ/mol.
